They provide advice, brief service and full representation in a variety of areas including housing, domestic relations, government benefits, bankruptcy, nursing home issues, guardianship defense, durable powers of attorney and health care proxies.

Income and Property Protected from Debt
Many elders have consumer debts that they cannot repay. Often these debts are credit cards or medical bills.
Some income and property is too essential to be taken from a debtor, and cannot be taken by court order to pay a debt. If all of your income and possessions are protected, you are called “judgment proof.” The law specifically excludes certain types of income from collection of most debts. Those types of income include Unemployment Compensation, Veteran’s Benefits, Pensions, Retirement Funds, IRA’s, Railroad Retirement, Social Security, SSI, Public Assistance and Welfare Benefits. Certain belongings are also protected from being taken to satisfy debts.
You may be able to get creditors to stop pursing claims against you if you inform them that you are “judgment proof.” For more information, call South Middlesex Legal Services at 1-800-696-1501.
Foxboro Historical Society

The Meeting House on Foxboro Common was erected in 1763 as a prerequisite to incorporation, which did not come until 15 years later in 1778. In repeated petitions for incorporation, families living in Foxboro - who were still part of Wrentham, Walpole, Stoughton and Stoughtonham - cited the difficulties of travel to these distant places on Sunday morning for worship. From that humble beginning, Foxboro became a place of many faiths.
At the September meeting, Jack will bring to life the story of "The Churches of Foxboro,"
starting with the Meeting House on the Common, the separation of church and state in the village, the growth of the various churches, the opening of chapels in each of the outlying districts and what led to many of the denominations coming to town.
There were, at times, great outpourings of faith in the village, ecumenical movements that united the faithful of many denominations. This colorful chapter of local history will unfold at the September meeting in an illustrated program on The Churches of Foxboro.
The meeting will take place in the Fuller Room of the Boyden Library (at the corner of Bird Street and Baker Street in Foxboro center) on Tuesday, September 23, at 7:30 pm. Presentations of the historical society are free, all are welcome, and refreshments are served.
